A Good Income That Didn't Feel Like Enough
Started nursing career in California. Long shifts, high taxes, and an expensive cost of living made one thing clear early — I was working hard, earning well, and still not getting ahead. The paycheck was real. The financial progress wasn't.

The First Time I Used Money as a Tool
Made a deliberate decision to relocate to Washington State for home health nursing. Better pay, and no state income tax. That wasn't luck — it was the first time I consciously used a financial decision to change my outcome. More money stayed in my pocket.

Buying a Duplex on a Nurse's Income
Used travel nursing income to purchase a duplex. Lived in one unit. Rented the other. That one decision turned a housing expense into a revenue stream — and proved something I hadn't fully believed: that a nurse could build real assets, not just earn a paycheck.

Learning That Income and Wealth Are Not the Same Thing
Started studying how wealth actually works not the version they teach in school, but how high-net-worth individuals actually build, protect, and grow assets over time. I stopped thinking about how much I earned per hour and started thinking about what my money was doing when I wasn't working.

Founded RNC Elite Group because one advisor working alone can only cover so much ground. The clients I wanted to serve deserved a full-picture strategy retirement, tax, legal, Medicare, real estate. That required building a collaborative network of specialists who could address every dimension of a client's financial life together.
